Our Story:
How we got started
CityMenderSA was born out of frustration shared by countless South Africans, broken infrastructure, slow service delivery, and no easy way to track progress or hold anyone accountable. We knew there had to be a better way.
Working closely with community leaders, residents, and activists, we began developing a tool that empowers everyday people to report city issues in real time, track them, and identify patterns using data. CityMenderSA was designed to bridge the gap between residents and local authorities, without adding complexity or red tape.
Our first official partner, the eThekwini Ratepayers and Residents Association (ERRA), will be instrumental in piloting the platform through its wide network of affiliates and engaged residents. We call on others to contact us, let's work together to fix up South Africa.
